"Celebrating the Arts" stained glass windows are the result of the combined talents of Roanoke graphic designer Julie McDowell (Julie McDowell Design) and Roanoke glass artist Donna B. Layne (Caladium Glass Studio). Julie is an award winning graphic designer with over fifty years experience in television, advertising agency, and corporate identity work. Donna is a widely acclaimed glass artist and master of stained glass techniques with over twenty-four

years experience. Working together they have produced stunning windows across the state of Virginia from the Roanoke valley to Richmond to Virginia Beach. Other Virginia Beach windows include Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Church of the Ascension and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Retirement Community. Included among their current projects are four windows for Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
